Privacy policy.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information MokaFox (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit our website or get in touch with us, how we use it, and what rights you have. We are an independent interactive development studio. Our company is based in the United Kingdom, and we also meet clients and collaborators in Kraków, Poland.

You can reach us at contact@mokafox.net.

1. What we collect and why

Visiting the website

Our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so that the site can be delivered and kept secure. We do not use this information to identify you.

Visitor statistics (only if you agree)

If you choose “Accept” on our cookie notice, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, which features and links are used (for example playing the trailer and how much of it is watched, opening gallery images, clicking links to the game stores, playing the footer mini game and for how long, and clicking email or external links), roughly where visitors come from, and what device and browser they use. This helps us understand how the website is used and improve it. If you choose “Decline”, or do not answer, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google for this purpose.

Getting in touch

If you email us, we receive your name (if you give it), your email address and whatever you write to us. We use it only to reply, to discuss your project, and to keep a record of our correspondence. Our email is provided by Google Workspace.

Playing the trailer

The trailer connects to Steam’s media servers only when you press Play. Those servers receive the technical information needed to deliver the video, such as your IP address. The image gallery and its screenshots are hosted with this website.

What we do not do

There are no accounts, advertising or social media tracking on this website, and we do not sell personal information.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

We only set cookies for visitor statistics, and only if you accept them. These are the ones involved:

  • _ga and _ga_QE2RQJP6EG (Google Analytics): tell visitors apart and keep track of a visit. They last up to 2 years unless you delete them.
  • mokafox-analytics-consent (stored in your browser, not a cookie): remembers whether you accepted or declined, so we do not ask again on every page. It stays until you clear your browser data.

You can change your mind at any time using the cookie-choice button below. This removes your saved choice and any Google Analytics cookies, stops analytics, and shows the cookie notice again. You can return here through “Privacy” in the footer of every page.

3. Our legal basis

  • Visitor statistics: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, as described above.
  • Running and securing the website, and answering your emails: our legitimate interest in operating our business and responding to people who contact us. Where you contact us about working together, we also use your details to take steps towards a contract.

4. Who we share information with

We use our hosting provider to deliver the website, and Google as a service provider for email (Google Workspace) and, if you accept, visitor statistics (Google Analytics). We do not share your information with anyone else, except where we are required to by law.

5. Transfers outside the UK

Our service providers may process information in countries outside the UK, including the United States. Where this happens, it is done under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.

6. How long we keep information

  • Analytics data: for a limited period set in our Google Analytics account, and never longer than 14 months.
  • Emails: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and keep proper business records, then deleted.
  • Cookies and your saved choice: as described in section 2.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
  • ask for your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time.

To use any of these rights, email contact@mokafox.net. We aim to reply within one month.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
